About Ingham Fox
Ingham Fox is owned and managed by Nick Fox and Julia Large, who first met in Japan.
Nick’s wife, Lisa, was first introduced to Julia in a local coffee shop, Segafredo, in Tokyo. At the same time, Nick quickly discovered that the person with whom he’d been paddling around in Tokyo American Club’s pool, with their respective children in tow, was Julia’s husband. Their children became firm friends and school mates until, following the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, both families relocated from Tokyo to Hong Kong and, 7 years later, back to the UK.
NICK FOX
What you need to know:
Obsessed with houses, having grown up living in the same one in Wimbledon for years, Nick finally started buying and selling in his early twenties in South West London, aided and abetted by his wife, Lisa. He spent 9 years moving the family into a bewildering succession of houses and flats in Tokyo and Hong Kong, keeping a base in Gloucestershire, before finally returning to his roots in the UK. With numerous friends and family based in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, this stunning area quickly became his spiritual home. He’s responsible for a workaholic wife, 3 children, 2 dogs (1 rescued from HK) and a rescued cat.
Surprising things about Nick:
He used to sell Amphibious Ribs (boats on wheels you could drive up the beach) and also chocolate brownies. This made him a popular parent during school holidays on the beach in Salcombe.
JULIA LARGE
What you need to know:
Julia was born an expat and grew up in Hong Kong. Having been schooled in the UK, she traveled round the world with her husband and family, living in India, the Middle East and unexpectedly a rather chilly Scotland before moving to warmer climes in the South East of England, near Haslemere. She later relocated again with her family to Tokyo and then back to Hong Kong and finally back to the Hampshire/Sussex border last year. Aa a result, she completely understands the stresses of moving homes and has a long experience of creating a beautiful, bespoke home in many different environments! She’s responsible for 3 children and an attitudinal poodle called Lola.
Suprising things about Julia:
For someone called Large, Julia tries hard not to live up to her surname. She completed a lot of ballet training in her youth and organised all kinds events for a living, from corporate conference and exhibitions to rugby 7’s tournaments and tennis opens. When she’s not reinventing houses for sale, she can be found practising pilates and walking Lola in all weathers.
