“We had a lovely four-bedroom rental home in Alresford that we decided the time had come to sell. 

We initially placed it with a local agent for four months, but despite several viewings, we received no offers. We then tried a well-known national agent for three months but only had three viewings in that time. After seven months, we felt concerned and disillusioned, as we knew the house was terrific, but potential buyers did not see it.

Fortunately, a friend who had a similar experience recommended Nick Fox at Ingham Fox. 

We met with Nick, who immediately understood the house's Edwardian charm and showed us some of the brochures they had produced for other homes, which were in a different league from our previous brochures.

While Ingham Fox was a new small agency, we could see that they offered something different, and as we were getting no viewings with our previous estate agent, we felt we had little to lose.

As the house was empty, Nick said we would get the investment back if we arranged for it to have furniture in it. He said to imagine it as a show home or how it would look in home magazines. Nick organised for an excellent house staging company to quote for supplying furniture and all items required to make the house look wonderful. To keep costs down, we provided the garden furniture and the top-floor bedroom; the photos Nick had virtual furniture added, which seemed very convincing. 

Two weeks later, the house was furnished by the house staging company. The next day, Nick and Julia were taking stunning photographs at the house the whole day. They even lit the fires in the sitting room and dining rooms (having supplied the firewood). The photos looked amazing. The twilight shot they captured on a snowy, freezy evening caught the eye. 

Nick's designer created an incredible 24-page brochure - it looked so wonderful and captured the essence of our house. 

Nick's team produced two videos: a speedy portrait walk-around tour for Instagram that was watched 1,000s times and a descriptive Landscape tour for Rightmove. So potential buyers could have an immediate viewing then and there!

Within a week of the house featuring on Rightmove and Instagram, we had an asking price cash offer from buyers who had previously discounted coming to see the house. Within four weeks, we had exchanged (With Nick keeping us up to date every step of the way), and we completed it a week later. The house could have sold several times over.

Mr & Mrs W’s gorgeous thatched cottage had been on the market for a few months with another agent, who conducted a few viewings but no sale was forthcoming. Increasingly keen to downsize and get out and about exploring in their new motor home, Mr and Mrs W came to Ingham Fox for assistance and within three months we had found them a buyer who fell in love with their home.  

“We had previously been on the market with a well regarded local agent for several months in the summer and whilst we had some viewings, none had proven very serious. 

When we met with Nick Fox a few days before Christmas, we were originally intending to wait to sell our house in the traditional Spring market. However, we discussed the pros and cons with Nick and decided we would prefer to sell the house sooner rather than later so that we could invest in our new home.
